Post Radially Removable Flexible Couplings
There are some neat time saving devices on Fish4Parts, take a look at the Snap Wrap Coupling, the insert is a radially removable which means you don't have to remove the hubs to replace inserts saving time - no need to re-align, click below link :-

Many of the World's largest Pump manufacturers use these couplings, see our DVD

Which is the best "Fit for Purpose" spacer coupling for back pull-out Centrifugal Pumps ? Jaw Couplings / Metallic Disc Couplings / Tyre Spacer Couplings ?

The answer lies in what chemicals / fluids are being pumped :-

The Jaw / Spider, Spacer Coupling is the lowest cost coupling and has the best dampening / shock resistance characteristics. The Aroflex RRS Coupling is available in non Spacer version, ANSI and IEC spacer lengths (89mm, 100mm, 127mm, 140mm, 180mm 250mm DBSE).

The Metallic Disc Coupling is the most expensive of all spacer couplings, it's main advantage is the fact that because of the stainless steel disc type inserts, it will operate in al sorts of chemicals including petroleum. Being an all metal coupling, pound for pound (size fir size) it is much more compact and has greater torque capacity than other rubber insert type couplings.

The Tyre Spacer Coupling has great misalignment capabilities, whilst being traditionally widely used because of it's easy fit style and misalignment characteristics, it's main dis-advantages are:- It's size (big bulky tyre), speed restrictions (tyre being on outside, tends to work loose), also it is not fail-safe i.e. when the Tyre fails there is no drive.
